As part of our final tasks in showcasing our understanding of the relation between type and information, we were assigned the project of creating an infographic. After perusing a selection of charts and statistical information, I decided to create an infographic detailing the numbers and indicators of the issues of such little media representation with LGBTQ characters in the U.S. This chart is separated into two respective section, with real life indicators and stats about people who identify as LGBTQ at the top, and the representation of LGBTQ in TV and movies at the bottom. Throughout our design work and process, we had to keep in mind the text and colors that would be used to communicate our information presented, as too many or few colors can make information hard to understand.
